Help us provide fresh meals to communities in Jamaica
World Central Kitchen is in Jamaica providing emergency relief to communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa. The hurricane made landfall on October 28 with winds reaching 185 mph, leaving much of the island without power, displacing thousands, and devastating infrastructure across western and southern Jamaica. WCK kitchens are now cooking, in collaboration with more than 30 Jamaican restaurant partners, to help provide comfort and hope to families recovering from the destruction. Our Relief Team is also supporting local community kitchens with cooking equipment, ingredients, and other vital supplies to help keep them operating for their neighbors.
WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis around the world.
World Central Kitchen does not rent, share, or sell any donor contact information (address, phone, email) with third-party organizations.
